PROFESSIONAL STAFF
The Back 9 Tour Services team is comprised of only licensed certified health care professionals founded and developed by Jeff Banaszak. Jeff travels multiple tours and works with many PGA Tour professionals.  Each staff member offers significant work and travel experience in professional sports and is dedicated to traveling the tours assisting professional golfers in their golf performance needs. President and Founder:                                   

Jeffrey S. Banaszak, PT, CSCS
Fort Worth, TX

With more than 12 years experience in the golf industry, Jeff developed Back9Fitness®, a unique company that specializes in products and services designed to enhance golf performance.  Jeff’s expertise includes manual therapy including Graston® Technique, ASTYM™, Active Isolated Stretching: The Mattes Method and specifically designing corrective exercise programs based on golf biomechanics.  Jeff has been traveling with touring professionals to PGA TOUR® and other professional golf events for the past  9 years and now operates his business under a new division of Back9Fitness called Back9 Tour Services.  In 2007 Jeff was asked to serve as a medical advisory board member for the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).


Chiropractic Physician:

Kevin Christie, DC, CSCS, BS
Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Dr. Christie utilizes a unique and modern approach to chiropractic medicine that includes two hands-on approaches; the Active Release Technique (ART) and the Graston Technique.  In addition to his private practice (Florida Chiropractic & Sports Rehab Center), Kevin has pursued his interest in working with golfers in a sports performance setting by becoming a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Level 3 Golf Medical Practitioner. Dr. Christie is also the Co-founder of Health-Fit Golf Systems which is dedicated to the education of golf related health and fitness.  The knowledge and experience he has obtained over recent years has made Dr. Christie a foremost authority in golf biomechanics, golf fitness, and golf related injuries.


Troy Van Biezen, DC
Dallas, TX

As founder of Chiro-sport, Dr. Van Biezen created one of the most unique chiropractic practices in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Troy blends traditional and diversified Chiropractic treatments and services with his knowledge of Biomechanics and advanced skills with Active Release Techniques (A.R.T).  A.R.T. is highly effective tissue therapy designed to release acute and chronic muscular tension, open joint restrictions, and free nerve entrapments in order to reduce pain, restore optimal range of motion and enhance athletic performance.  Dr. Van Biezen has served as an official chiropractic physician on the PGA TOUR, healing some of the top professional golfers improve their performance or return from injury.


Physical Therapy:

Jay Platt, PT, ATC, CSCS
Austin, TX

Jay has more than 24 years experience in sports medicine as a physical therapist, athletic trainer, and certified strength and conditioning specialist.  Jay has specialized in the biomechanics of golf, and golf performance enhancement through improved physical conditioning since 1995.  He has experience working with touring golf professionals, and lectures nationally on the biomechanics of the golf swing as an Associate Instructor for BACKtoGOLF® Seminars.

Leanne Quinn, MSPT, LPGA Class A Teaching Professional
Orlando, FL

With 15 years experience in Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Leanne has been able to combine her background as Physical Therapist and an LPGA Teaching Professional into a specialized approach for treating the body for improved golf performance.  Leanne has experience treating and traveling with Golfers on the Nationwide, PGA, and LPGA tours for the last two years.  Leanne utilizes Graston®, Active Isolated Stretching and other manual therapy techniques to address golfer's soft tissue restrictions and imbalances.


Athletic Trainer:

Victor Trasoff-Jilg ATC, PES
Ft. Worth, TX

Victor has spent the past 9 years working as an Athletic Trainer in professional baseball, most recently with the Detroit Tigers as their Minor League Medical Coordinator.  In that capacity he was oversaw the medical health of more than 200 players and staff, including rehabilitation of post operative, short and long-term injuries for minor and major league players.  In addition to the rehabilitation of many of the same injuries that professional golfers experience, Victor is certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist, which is a functional sports conditioning certification focused on correcting muscular imbalances before instituting performance-based exercises.


Strength & Conditioning Consultant:

Ben Shear, BS
Scotch Plains, NJ

Ben is owner and director of golf performance at the Golfer's Edge, a premier facility for the advanced training and testing of golf athletes.  With over 10 years experience he has worked with numerous members of both the PGA and European Tours.  His expertise includes neuroproprioceptive response (NPR) testing, 3-D Biomechanics and the designing golf-specific conditioning programs.  Additional certifications include Titleist Performance Institute Level 3 Fitness Professional and Advanced Metabolic Tying Advisor.


Sports Dietician:

Amy Goodson, MS, RD, CSSD, LD
Fort Worth, TX

Amy is the sports dietitian for Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute and specializes in building nutritional programs for golfers throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Amy's current clients range from the high school athletes to professional level golfers at all levels.  Amy is currently the personal dietitian for Hunter Mahan, PGA TOUR® Member, as well as many other golfers playing professionally.  In addition, Amy is a contributing writer for the Titleist performance Institute (TPI).


BIOMECHANICS:

Rob Neal, PhD, MS
Miami, FL

Dr. Neal began his career in physical education and later pursued his Master's Degree in biomechanics at the University of Queensland, Australia.  In 1982, he turned his focus to golf completing a thesis topic on the 3-D Kinematics and Kinetics of the Golf Swing. In 1984, Robert was granted a Commonwealth Scholarship to complete his PhD in Biomechanics. The focus of the research this time was on "segment interactions" in throwing activities. Over the past 20 years, Rob has been recognized as a true expert in golf biomechanics founded his own company called Golf BioDynamics and now servers as a biomechanics Advisory board member for the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).
